What is the difference between Wave & Pay and traditional debit or credit cards?
Traditional debit/credit cards debit money by swiping the card, then typing in a pin number to complete the transaction. The new Wave & Pay method requires the customer to hold the card within 5cm's of the payment terminal to complete the whole transaction of payments under £10. After a certain number of transactions a pin number will be required for security reasons.
