Examples of Wave & Pay in use
The London Transport system currently uses the Wave & Pay system with their Oyster Cards. Oyster payment cards are the cheapest way to pay for single journeys on Tubes, buses, DLR and trams in London. Travelcards, Bus Passes and cash can be stored on the card to pay-as-you-go. It can be purchased at over 2200 Oyster ticket stops, on their website, most tube stations, at some National Express ticket offices, and various other venues. They save the customer time by not having to queue for tickets. The card will automatically calculate the cheapest fare for the journeys made in a single day. The Oyster single fares are always cheaper than paying with cash.
